The results of the preliminary written examination held in December for recruitment to the posts of SI and Sergeant in Bihar Police will be released in the coming days.
The preliminary written examination was conducted on December 26, 2021, after which the candidates who appeared in this examination are now waiting for the answer key and the result of the examination.
Its result is likely to be released by mid-February.
More than 6 lakh candidates had applied for recruitment to the posts of SI and Sergeant in Bihar Police.
Through this, a total of 2213 posts are to be recruited. Of these, 1998 posts are of Inspector, while 215 posts are of Sergeant. The final result will be released after the main examination.
Only those candidates will be selected for the main examination, who will be successful in the preliminary examination.
The result of the preliminary written examination can come by February 15.

Successful candidates in prelims will appear in main exam
Earlier it was expected that the result of Bihar Police SI Prelims exam can come by the end of January.
But now its chances are negligible, because till now the answer key has not been issued, whereas after the release of the answer key, the candidates are given some time to raise objections on it and then after its analysis.
The final answer key is prepared, on the basis of which the result is declared.

To appear in the Bihar Police SI Mains exam, candidates must have secured at least 30 percent marks in the prelims exam, else they will be declared failed.
Candidates will be selected 20 times the number of vacancies on the basis of marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination.
In this context, more than 44 thousand candidates will be selected for the main examination of Bihar Police SI.
