Bihar STET 2022 Exam Cancelled: The Bihar government has announced the cancellation of Bihar STET Exam 2022 (Bihar Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test), an exam to be conducted for the recruitment of teachers. Now the government will select the teachers on the basis of the score of CTET exam conducted by the central government.
Bihar STET 2022 Exam Cancelled:
The Bihar government has decided to cancel the Bihar STET 2022 exam. The government has issued an official notification that now the government will not conduct the state level teacher eligibility test (Bihar STET 2022 Exam Canceled). However, this does not mean that this year’s recruitments have also been cancelled.
According to the government, this year the recruitment will be done on the basis of the score of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
The state government is of the view that since the central government of India conducts CTET twice a year, it should be sufficient to assess the qualification of the teacher. Hence, Bihar STET Exam is canceled with immediate effect.

Bihar Education Ministry Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar took the decision
Let us inform that this decision has been taken by the state’s Additional Chief Secretary (Education) Deepak Kumar Singh. For this, a letter has also been issued to the Secretary of Bihar School Examination Committee (BSEB) on behalf of Director (Elementary Education) Ravi Prakash.
The letter in which it was told that according to the provisions laid down under the Bihar Primary School Service (Appointment, Promotion, Transfer, Disciplinary Proceedings and Service Condition) Rules, 2020, for the recruitment of teachers, the qualifying TET conducted by the center or state is necessary.

The center organizes it twice a year in July and December. Hence, there is no need for another similar test at the state level. If its need is felt in future, then the department will take a decision regarding this again.
The Bihar STET exam was last conducted for the 2019 batch. The Bihar STET exam was in the news in November 2021 when several teachers went on a protest to raise their voice against the ‘delay’ in issuance of appointment letters of thousands of teachers.
