MA in Hindu Studies The objective of the program is to make the students aware of the fundamental principles of oriental civilization and culture.
The Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University, Prof. Sunaina Singh informed that the formal study of this course will start from January 17, 2022 in the university campus of Rajgir.
According to Singh, we are trying to create a resource center for Indian intellectual traditions. Nalanda was known for its scholarly tradition, the present Nalanda is also poised to become a center for excellence.
MA in Hindu Studies The aim of the program is to make the students aware of the fundamental principles of oriental civilization and culture. He said that through this course, students will be able to develop a logical understanding of India’s overall thought-tradition through analytical methods.
He said that through this study, the students will get the opportunity of holistic study and research of different types of knowledge traditions and practices with eternal principle and life value of Indian culture. The objective of this two-year program is to make the new generation aware of the ancient knowledge sources of ancient tradition as well as their importance in the present context.
He said that Vedas, Upanishads, Itihasa-Purana, Ramayana and Mahabharata along with Natyashastra and Arthashastra have also been given place in the curriculum of this course. Through this course, the new generation will be able to know the Sanatan traditions in detail. It is noteworthy that students from all over the country and abroad are studying various subjects in this university.
