Delhi Schools Reopening Date: The decision to reopen Delhi schools can be issued soon. Delhi government will recommend reopening of Delhi schools in DDMA meeting today.

Delhi Schools Reopening Decision :

The decision to reopen Delhi schools is expected to be reviewed today. The Delhi government will share its revised restrictions with the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) in the scheduled meeting which is also expected to include the recommendation for reopening of schools.

Both the government and DDMA have an opinion regarding opening of schools.

Vaccination raised hope

According to the latest report of the Delhi Health Department, the positivity rate of Kovid cases in the national capital is 10.59% which is raising concerns of corona infection when Delhi schools reopen.

This is also not in line with the instructions of the government regarding the functioning of schools.

However, immunization of 15 to 18-year-olds raises hope for the reopening of schools. Concerns about frequent closures also cannot be denied.

Education Minister said this thing

Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday said further closure of schools is not good for the social and emotional well-being of children. Sisodia emphasized that online education can never replace offline education.

Along with this, he said that the government had closed the schools at a time when it was not safe for the children, but now excessive caution is harming the students.

Earlier, a delegation of parents of children from Delhi, led by epidemiologist and public policy expert Chandrakant Laharia and Yamini Iyer, head of the Center for Policy Research, handed over a memorandum, signed by over 1,600 parents, for the reopening of schools.

Schools were briefly reopened in Delhi but were closed again on December 28 last year due to the third wave of COVID-19.

Cases are falling

In the midst of all this, the cases of corona in Delhi are decreasing. On Wednesday, 7,498 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Delhi and 29 patients died due to the epidemic.

According to the Health Department data, the infection rate was recorded at 10.59 percent.

Earlier on Tuesday, 6,028 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Delhi and 31 patients died while the infection rate has gone up to 10.55 percent.
