NTA JEE Main, NEET 2022 Exam Date: JEE Main 2022 and NEET 2022 registration and exam date schedule will be out on jeemain.nta.nic.in and neet.nta.nic.in.
Experts have expressed apprehension of delay in view of the current circumstances along with tentative exam dates and schedules.
NTA JEE Main, NEET 2022 Exam Date:
Lakhs of students are waiting for the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main 2022 and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2022 exam dates. National Testing Agency, NTA will conduct both the exams.
Though there is no update from the agency in view of the current situation, experts are suggesting a delay of almost a month in the schedule of JEE Main 2022 and even NEET 2022.
JEE Mains, NEET 2022 Registration Schedule:
Officials had earlier suggested that NTA is planning to conduct JEE Main 2022 from March instead of February. Tentatively the exam is expected to be held in March, April, May and June 2022.
It is also expected that the registration for JEE Main 2022 should start in the month of January.
As far as NEET is concerned, though no official report has been shared yet, there are reports on the internet that NTA is contemplating to conduct NEET 2022 on May 2, 2022.
The same report also claimed that NEET 2022 registration is likely to start from February 1, 2022.
None of these reports have been confirmed yet. Officials of the Ministry of Education as well as NTA have not confirmed any of the reports.
The officials have asked to be patient and rely only on the official websites nta.ac.in, jeemain.nta.nic.in and neet.nta.ac.in.
Expected Schedule of NEET 2022 and JEE Mains 2022:
Experts are of the opinion that there is a possibility of delay in competitive examinations and for this they have cited two specific reasons.
The first is the third wave of COVID19 that the country is going through at the moment. The second is the upcoming assembly elections for 5 states.
‘Interestingly, there is no real opening to conduct JEE Main 2022 in February, with elections in 5 states in February and in the first week of March.
The only possibility could be that the exams may be conducted in the second or third week of March 2022. But, this may conflict with the board exams. Some of the boards have already released their schedule and CBSE is also expected to conduct the exams in March-April.
With this, it is highly unlikely for NTA to conduct JEE Main 2022 in March,’ shared Mr. Kumar, who has been associated with coaching for JEE Main for the past 10 years.
Others also agreed, suggesting that the JEE Main 2022 exams may be conducted in April, May and June, and perhaps in July. ‘We don’t know the dates yet, but can see that there has been no opening.
If NTA decides to conduct the exam in March, it will be on a very tight schedule, which may not be convenient for the students.
As far as NEET 2022 is concerned, experts are of the opinion that a date before June is almost not possible. ‘Historically, JEE Main is conducted first and then NEET is conducted.
There are some students who appear for both so the exam can’t even take place. Anyhow, it is likely that NEET may be conducted in late June or early July.
As for the official update, there is none. Though the dates are not confirmed, sources are pointing towards mandatory vaccination for the candidates.
So the candidates willing to appear in the exam are advised to keep checking the website for the latest updates. All students eligible for vaccination are also urged to get vaccinated at the earliest.
