Maharashtra school Reopen from 24th January: Uddhav Thackeray’s government has given permission to open schools once again. The Education Minister has given information while talking about this.

The Maharashtra government is once again being allowed to open schools. After Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s permission, state Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad said on Thursday that direct classes can be started once again in schools from class 1 to 9 in the state from January 24. 

Talking about this, he said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has approved a proposal to this effect sent to him by the School Education Department.

“Written instructions in this regard will be issued today or tomorrow,” the school education minister said. 

The decisions to close schools were taken in Maharashtra in the first week of January following a surge in cases of Kovid-19 and the appearance of the highly contagious Omicron pattern.

Meanwhile, several parents, besides field activists, teachers strongly opposed the move to shut the schools, saying it was likely to adversely affect the students. 

The local municipal corporation of Mumbai had announced the closure of schools for classes I to IX till January 31.

According to the assessment of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), there were indications that the cases of infection from Omicron were not increasing very fast and it was also estimated that the infection graph was going down,

which prompted the authorities to organize direct classes in schools. Was inspired about making a proposal to start again.

According to the PTI report,

Education Minister Gaikwad says, ‘Our SOPs are very strict and clear. We have given four days advance notice to the management of the schools to prepare the schedule apart from vaccination and sanitation. 

Depending on the prevailing situation, the timing and other necessary decisions will be taken by the local authorities like District Magistrate or Municipal Commissioner.

Varsha Gaikwad had said on Wednesday that a proposal to reopen schools in the state has also been sent to the Chief Minister for approval. According to many reports, CM Uddhav Thackeray has also given approval for this.
