The demand to postpone the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET PG 2022 has now reached the court. A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking not only the postponement of the March 12 exam date announced by the National Board of Examinations, NBE, but also some changes in the internship deadline, among other things Is.

The petition for NEET PG 2022 Postponement is to be heard by February 7, 2022. However, sources have revealed that efforts are on to schedule a hearing for this February 4, 2022. As of now, this will be confirmed soon.

The demand for postponing the exam grew when students realized that the NEET PG counseling 2021 dates were directly clashing with the next exam dates. This clash of dates is a matter of great trouble for the students.

Pay attention

The petition for postponement of NEET PG 2022 is not just about postponing the exam date. The petition also challenges the alleged violation of the NEET PG Regulations 2000.

Since the dates of counseling and next exam are clashing, students from both the batches are likely to be admitted within a span of less than 3-4 months.

Simply put, the petitioners are seeking answers from the authorities as to how they are planning to accommodate 2 batches of students in such a short span, as there is a limit on the number of admissions every year.

Apart from this, one more thing has been mentioned in the NEET PG 2022 petition, which says that there should be a change in the internship deadline scheduled for May 31, 2022.

In this regard, the petitioners have argued that since they were engaged in activities related to COVID, their internship has been postponed.

Therefore, it is mentioned in the petition that the candidates who have not been able to complete their internship within the time limit, may also be accommodated.
