NEET UG 2022: RECORD MORE THAN 18 LAKH CANDIDATES GOT REGISTERED, 95% APPEARED IN THE EXAM

NEET UG 2022: National Testing Agency conducted the NEET UG 2022 exam on Sunday, 17 July 2022. About 95 percent candidates appeared in this medical entrance exam.

NEET UG Exam 2022: 

National Testing Agency NTA conducted the NEET UG 2022 exam on 17th July 2022. According to the NTA, around 95 per cent of the candidates appeared for the medical entrance exam NEET which was held on Sunday. 

According to NTA, this year’s exam has recorded the highest attendance among all the exams conducted so far. 

More than 10 lakh women appeared in the examination

NTA officials said that a total of 18,72,329 candidates had registered for the country’s biggest entrance exam, crossing the 18 lakh mark, out of which 10.64 lakh women also appeared for the exam, which is a unique record in itself. Is. A senior NTA official said around 95 per cent attendance was recorded.

This year 2.5 lakh more candidates joined.

This was the first time that the number of registrations for the NEET medical entrance exam has crossed 18 lakh, which is 2.5 lakh more than the previous year 2021. Last year, the NEET-undergraduate exam was conducted on September 12, in which more than 95 percent of the registered candidates appeared. 

More than 15.44 lakh candidates had registered for the exam. Last year the exam was conducted at 3,858 centres. Out of the total candidates, 8.70 lakh students had qualified.

This exam is conducted for admission to NEET-UG Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS) etc. Is performed. 

The exam was conducted at 3,570 centers

NEET UG 2022 exam was conducted on Sunday in 14 cities outside India also (Colombo, Kathmandu, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Sharjah, Kuwait City, Doha, Manama, Riyadh, Lagos). Also, the exam was conducted in pen and paper mode at 3,570 centers across 497 cities in India.

Maximum number of candidates appeared from Jaipur

Jaipur (52,351) recorded the highest number of candidates in India and the lowest in West Sikkim (105), an official said. Similarly, the highest number of candidates outside India was recorded in Dubai (646) and the lowest in Thailand (6).
