Reopening of Schools: On Thursday, the Union Health Ministry said that the first dose of corona has been given to 95 percent of the eligible population. By Thursday evening, the figure of corona vaccine in the country has crossed 164.35 crores.

After seeing a decline in the cases of corona infection in many states, the central government may issue an advisory regarding the opening of schools across the country.
Many states including Maharashtra have decided to open primary schools from February. At present, the indigenous vaccine of corona is being administered to children of 15 to 17 years in the country.
Schools and colleges are closed in view of the threat of the new variant Omicron of Corona, but now preparations are being made to open them gradually.
The government sought suggestions from the National Expert Group,
news agency ANI quoted sources as saying that Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has asked the National Expert Group to suggest its process and modalities for the opening of schools.
The report quoted sources as saying, ‘The crisis of Kovid-19 has affected children of all age groups.
The schools have remained more or less closed for almost two years. Schools opened and closed in some states in between, but the apprehension and danger about the epidemic still remains.

Schools will open in a phased manner, said the source,
‘However, whether to open schools in their own or not will be decided by the state governments.’ Top sources have told ANI that the central government wants schools to be opened in a phased manner, strictly following the Covid-protocol.

To save people from the danger of corona, the government started a nationwide campaign of vaccination from 16 January 2021. After this, people above 18 years of age started getting vaccinated from May 1, 2021.
At present, from January 3 last year, children in the age group of 12 to 17 years are being vaccinated.
First dose of corona to 95 percent people

While more than one crore people have been given additional doses of corona vaccine.

Health Minister to hold review meeting
Health Minister Mandaviya will hold a review meeting on Friday to discuss the current situation of Kovid-19 in eight states and union territories.
This review meeting will be held through video conference at 2.30 pm on Friday, to discuss the prevailing situation of COVID-19 in Mandaviya Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the omicron form of the virus. Will take stock of the preparations to stop it.
