This year the performance of girl students in the 10th class examination of Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UP Board) has been far better than that of the students. Seven girls have made their place in the top 10, while the pass percentage of girl students is 91.69 percent, while that of boys is 85.25 percent.
Releasing the results of high school in the auditorium of the UP Board here, Director of Education (Secondary) Dr Sarita Tiwari said that a total of 11,69,488 students and 10,53,257 girls passed the examination.

Prince Patel of Kanpur Nagar did the top
He informed that Prince Patel of Kanpur Nagar stood first with 97.67 percent marks, while Sanskriti Thakur of Moradabad stood second with 97.50 percent and Kiran Kushwaha of Kanpur Nagar stood third with 97.50 percent marks.
Kannauj’s Aniket Sharma fourth with 97.33 percent marks, Kanpur Nagar’s Palak Awasthi fifth with 97.17 percent marks, Prayagraj’s Astha Singh sixth with 97.17 marks, Sitapur’s Ekta Verma seventh with 97 percent marks, Rae Bareli’s Atharv Srivastava 97 percent Naini Verma of Kanpur Nagar stood eighth with points and Pranshi Dwivedi of the same ranked tenth.

Dr Sarita Tiwari said that a total of 25,20,634 candidates appeared in the UP Board’s high school examination which was conducted at 8,373 examination centers, out of which 22,22,745 candidates passed. Thus the pass percentage of the total examinees was 88.18.
