UPSC notice about CSE Mains 2021:
Union Public Service Commission, UPSC Civil Services 2021 Mains Exam will not be postponed. Putting an end to the rumors and growing concerns.
UPSC has issued a notice confirming that the main exam will be conducted on January 7, 8, 9, 15 and 16 as per the schedule.
The notice comes at a time when a petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court seeking postponement of UPSC Mains exam in view of the oomycron virus surge in the country.
Apart from this, UPSC has also assured that the situation has been carefully reviewed and the ongoing restrictions are being taken into account.
For this, UPSC has written a letter to the state governments requesting them to provide necessary transport facilities to the students appearing for the examination.
The e-admit card of the candidates will be treated as pass and special care will be taken especially if the candidates are traveling through containment zones.
UPSC’s request to the State Governments:
The notice reads, ‘It is further requested to the State Governments that public transport should be stopped at least one day before the date of conduct of the examination i.e. from 06.01.2022 to 09.01.2022 and 14.01.2022. be turned on.
This has been done to ensure smooth movement of candidates/examination functionaries.’
Information to District Officers regarding Kovid Protocol:
District officials have also been informed and requested to make necessary arrangements.
The examination center invigilators have been advised to ensure that proper COVID protocol is followed and the centers are sanitized regularly.
Candidates have been advised to carry sanitizers with them. The officials have also been advised to provide additional rooms at the venue for the candidates who may appear with symptoms of cough etc.
This is being done to ensure that the candidates are able to appear for their examination under the required security protocols.
UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam 2021 is scheduled to start from January 7, 2022.
Candidates who qualify the preliminary exam will now have to appear for the subjective tests. Around 1 lakh candidates are expected to appear in the exam.
