UPTET 2021-22 Update: If the date of UP TET exam is extended, it will not be the first time. Earlier this paper was to be held on November 28, but due to paper leak, the exam was postponed.
The COVID-19 infections and new Omicron variants have raised concerns for candidates appearing for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021 and the exam may get postponed again.
UPTET exam will be held on 23rd January as per schedule. However, with the grave threat of COVID-19 in the country, aspirants fear that the exam date may be postponed.
If the exam date is extended, it will not be the first time. Earlier this paper was to be held on November 28, but due to paper leak, the exam was postponed.
The question paper was circulated on WhatsApp groups, and the UP Police arrested 34 people in connection with the case.
Later on 22 December, the education body announced that the UPTET exam will be held on 23 January, and the results of UPTET 2021 which is now going to be held in 2022 will be declared on 25 February as per schedule.

If we talk about the marks, then about 13.52 lakh students were registered for the primary level examination. Apart from this, more than 8.90 lakh students have applied for the upper primary level examination.
In view of the situation of Kovid-19, it will be difficult for the Board of Education to conduct examinations on such a large scale because if even a single student turns out to be Kovid positive, then that place will become a hotspot of Kovid.
Apart from the UPTET exam, if we talk about other aspects of the education sector, in view of the increase in the number of Kovid-19 cases, the Uttar Pradesh government has asked all government and private schools to remain closed for class 10 till January 14. The state has also imposed night curfew from 10 pm to 6 am.
