Bank Recruitment 2021-22: Big news for the youth who are looking for government jobs in the bank. 

According to a report released by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, there are more than 40,000 vacancies for the posts of officers, clerks and subordinate employees in public sector banks.

There is a possibility of good news coming very soon for the candidates who are waiting for a government job in the bank. 

According to recent government data, it has been revealed that thousands of posts are lying vacant in public banks. 

Central Government has released the official notice regarding vacancies in various posts in Public Sector Banks. 

According to a report released by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, there are more than 40,000 vacancies for the posts of officers, clerks and subordinate employees in public sector banks.

Let us tell you that while answering the question asked during the parliamentary session, Nirmala Sitharaman, citing inputs received from public sector banks, had said that as of December 1, 2021, out of the total sanctioned posts in public sector banks, 41,177 i.e. 5 percent posts are vacant.

There are a total of more than 8,05,986 sanctioned posts in public sector banks, currently 41,177 posts are vacant. 

According to official figures, State Bank of India (SBI) has the maximum number of 8544 vacancies.

How many vacancies in which bank

According to the report released by the Finance Minister, there are a total of 41,177 vacancies in 12 public sector banks. 

There are a total of 8544 vacancies in SBI, out of which 3,423 posts are vacant for officers and 5,121 posts for clerks. 

On the other hand, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has vacancies for 6,743 posts, in which 1210 posts of officers, 716 posts of clerks and maximum 4817 posts of subordinate employees are vacant. 

The third bank with maximum vacancies is Central Bank of India, with 3,528 vacancies for officers, 1726 for clerks and 1041 for subordinate employees.

According to this report, the lowest vacancies are in Bank of Maharashtra and Bank of Baroda, which have 190 and 15 officer vacancies. 

Let us tell you that earlier there were a total of 27 public banks, but after the merger of banks, the number of public banks has come down to 12.

Know the educational qualification and salary on these posts

Anupam Trivedi, who has worked in the banking sector for decades, told during a conversation with Times Now that if we talk about subordinate employees in banks, then it includes office boys and other employees. 

The minimum educational qualification for these posts is 10th pass and the exam is conducted online computer based. The starting salary of subordinate employees is between 10 to 20 thousand rupees.
On the other hand, the starting salary of officer category i.e.

PO is 30 to 35 thousand rupees and the starting salary of clerk (office assistant) is between 20 to 25 thousand rupees. IBPS conducts the exam for the recruitment of PO and Clerk in public sector banks. 

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is an organization that conducts recruitment for various posts in banks.
